【摘要】:Thispracticegivessuggestedproceduresforcharacterizationofatmospherictestsites.Itcanbeusefultoresearchers,manufacturers,engineeringfirms,architects,andconstructioncontractorstoprovidecorrosionandenvironmentaldata,materialsselectioninformation,andamaterialsstoragepractice.Thispracticedoesnotgivespecificparametersforclassifyingthetypeoftestsite.PROCEDURESTop1.1Thispracticegivessuggestedproceduresforthecharacterizationofatmospherictestsites.Continuouscharacterizationcanprovidecorrosiondata,environmentaldata,orbothwhichwillsignalchangesincorrosivityoftheatmosphericenvironment.Thispracticecanalsoprovideguidanceforclassificationoffuturetestsites.1.2Twomethodsaredefinedinthispracticeforthecharacterizationofatmospherictestsites.ThemethodsareidentifiedascharacterizationMethodsAandB.ThepreferredcharacterizationtechniquewouldrequireusingbothMethodAandBforconcurrentdatacollection.1.2.1MethodAistobeusedwhenatmosphericcorrosionismonitoredonacontinuingbasisatatestsiteusingspecifiedmaterialsandexposureconfigurations.1.2.2MethodBisspecifiedwhenatmosphericfactorsaremonitoredonacontinuingbasis.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
