【摘要】:1.1Thisstandardpracticedescribesamethodforrapiddelineationofvolatileorganiccontaminants(VOC)inthesubsurfaceusingamembraneinterfaceprobe.Loggingwiththemembraneinterfaceprobeisusuallyperformedwithdirectpushequipment.1.2Thisstandardpracticedescribeshowtoobtainarealtimeverticallogofvolatileorganiccontaminantswithdepth.Thedataobtainedisindicativeofthetotalvolatileorganiccontaminantconcentrationinthesubsurfaceatdepth.1.3Othersensors,suchaselectricalconductivity,fluorescencedetectors,andconepenetrationtoolsmaybeincludedtoprovideadditionalinformation.Theuseofalithologicloggingtoolishighlyrecommendedtodefinehydrostratigraphicconditions,suchasmigrationpathways,andtoguideconfirmationsampling.1.4Limitations-TheMIPsystemdoesnotprovidespecificityofanalytes.Thistoolistobeusedasatotalvolatileorganiccontaminant-screeningtool.Soiland/orwatersampling(GuidesD6001,D6282,D6724,andPracticeD6725)mustbeperformedtoidentifyspecificanalytesandexactconcentrations.OnlyVOCsaredetectedbytheMIPsysteminthesubsurface.Detectionlimitsaresubjecttotheselectivityofthegasphasedetectorappliedandcharacteristicsoftheformationbeingpenetrated(forexample,clayandorganiccarboncontent).Thispracticeoffersasetofinstructionsforperformingoneormorespecificoperations.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthispracticemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithouttheconsiderationofaprojectsmanyuniqueaspects.Theword"standard"inthetitlemeansthatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
