【摘要】:Nondestructivetestingofpavementstoobtaindeflectiondataforuseinpavementevaluationandoverlaydesignhasbecomecommon.Whilethediversityofequipmentanddataapplicationsmakespecificproceduresinfeasible,thisguideisintendedtoencouragethecollectionofsufficientdeflectiondata,adequatecalibrationofequipment,andimplementationofgeneralproceduresleadingtobetterqualityandmoreuniformdeflectionmeasurements.1.1Thisguidecoversthepreparation,equipment,calibrationofequipment,locationoftestpoints,magnitudesandconfigurationsofappliedloads,cyclicfrequencies,andpresentationofdatafornondestructivetestingofpavementsusingcyclic-loadingdynamicdeflectionequipment.1.2Cyclic-loadingdynamicdeflectionequipmentincludesagroupofdevicesthatinduceasteady-statesinusoidalvibrationinthepavementthroughcyclicgenerationofadynamicload.Allsuchdevicesapplyastaticloadonthepavementsurface,resultinginastaticdeflection,andtheninducesomesinusoidalloadandconsequentdeflectionaroundthestaticloadanddeflectionthroughanappliedsteady-statedynamicload.1.3Astherearegreatdifferencesbetweenvariouscyclic-loadingdynamicdeflectiondevices,thisguideisintendedtogiveuniformly-applicableguidance,ratherthanspecificinstructions,fortheiruse.Forinstance,itwillspecifythatcalibrationofthedevicesandtheirinstrumentationbecarriedoutatthefrequenciesandinaccordancewithproceduresrecommendedbytheirmanufacturers,ratherthanprovidingspecificinstructions.Also,dataisspecifiedforcollectionthatshouldproveadequateforusualapplicationsofsuchdeflectiondata,butnoproceduresareincludedforx201C;back-calculatingx201D;elasticmoduliofpavementlayersorothersuchapplications.1.4Thisguidedoesnotapplytostaticdeflectionequipment,suchasthex201C;BenkelmanBeam,x201D;automatedbeamdeflectionequipment,suchasthex201C;CaliforniaTravelingDeflectometer,x201D;orimpulsedeflectionequipment,suchasthex201C;FallingWeightDeflectometer.x201D;1.5Itiscommonpracticeintheengineeringprofessiontouseconcurrentlypoundstorepresentbothaunitofmass(lbm)andofforce(lbf).Thisimplicitlycombinestwoseparatesystemsofunits,thatis,theabsolutesystemandthegravitationalsystem.Itisscientificallyundesirabletocombinetheuseoftwoseparatesetsofinch-poundunitswithinasinglestandard.Thisguidehasbeenwrittenusingthegravitationalsystemofunitswhendealingwiththeinch-poundsystem.Inthissystem,thepound(lbf)representsaunitofforce(weight).However,theuseofbalancesorscalesrecordingpoundsofmass(lbm),ortherecordingofdensityinlbm/ft3shouldnotberegardedasnonconformancewiththisguide.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.7Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisno......
