【摘要】:TestMethodD1113isconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,andtheprocedurehasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforthispurpose,particularlyinconnectionwiththedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentbyTestMethodD584.TheprocedureinTestMethodD1113isusedbytheU.S.CustomsServiceforthedeterminationofthevegetablematterinimportationsofrawwoolonwhichtheallowanceforlossofwoolduringcommercialcleaningisbasedinpart.IncaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultswhenusingTestMethodD1113foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweentheirlaboratories.Competentstatisticalassistanceisrecommendedfortheinvestigationofbias.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingStudentst-testforunpaireddataandanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartiesbeforethetestingisbegun.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrectedorthepurchaserandthesuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestresultsinlightoftheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthecontentofoven-dried,ash-free,alcoholextractive-freevegetablematterandotheralkali-insolubleimpuritiespresentinscouredwool.Itisalsoapplicabletox201C;relatedfibersx201D;suchasthehairfromthegoat,camel,alpaca,andotheranimals.Note18212;ThedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentonalaboratoryscaleiscoveredinTestMethodD584,thedeterminationofcleanwoolfiberpresentonacommercialscaleiscoveredinTestMethodD1334,andthecalculationofcommercialweightandyieldofvariouscommercialcompositions(formerlycoveredinAppendixtoTestMethodD584)iscoveredinPracticeD2720.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyhazardstatements,seeSection8.
