【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethoddescribesproceduresfordeterminingthewashabilitycharacteristicsofcoarse-coalfractionsandfine-coalfractions.Eachsamplebeingtestedcanhavemorethanonecoarse-coalsizefractionandmorethanonefine-coalsizefraction(seeAnnexA1).Eachsuchsizefractionhasanuppersizelimitandalowersizelimit,neitherofwhichoverlapswiththenextlargernorsmallersizefraction.(SeeTestMethodD4749.)1.2While,ingeneral,thistestmethodhasusefulapplicationindeterminingthewashabilitycharacteristicsoflow-rankcoals,inthestrictestsense,itisnotnecessarilythemosttechnicallycorrecttestmethodtodeterminewashabilitycharacteristicsoflow-rankcoalsbecauseofproblemsrelativetothelossofmoisturethroughdryingduringsamplepreparationandanalysis.Methodsthataredirectlyapplicabletolow-rankcoalsaretobedeveloped.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesshowninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection8andAppendixX1.
